Tri County Victims Council is a networking organization for crime victim advocates from Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties in South Carolina. Monthly meetings are held for advocates to exchange information, become informed on topics of professional development, and to make announcements about new programs, resources and events.
The Council is a South Carolina Charitable organization that operates on a dues paid basis. The funds collected for dues goes into a fund for basic operating expenses as well as emergency funds for crime victims who may not have any other resource.
In addition, the Tri County Victims Council presents a bi-annual award to law enforcement officers who exemplify positive work with crime victims on a regular basis, or in a one time extraordinary event. These awards are nominated and voted on by the membership of the agency.
